Pub love

HENLEY – As you’ve often heard said of England, there’s a pub on every corner. It’s probably close to true. Pubs and beer are a big part of the culture here. I don’t actually drink, but I still go to the occasional pub because many of them are pubs and restaurants. But it’s not just about boozing the night away, it’s also a place to meet friends.

While in Henley, I stumbled upon this pub cum restaurant called St. George & Dragon on the banks of the Thames and thought the interiors were cosy so I wanted to share.

I liked this wall of wood as a feature.

This is the restaurant part of the pub which I think is quite inviting.

This artwork made me think of Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee.

Some overpriced nibbles.

The ingredients…

And finally what we ate.

To be honest, it wasn’t the best fish and chips at all. But it was a nice day out. Can you recommend any good pubs in England that even a teetotaler would like?
